J.D. Davis Struggling To Repeat Spring Performance
7 years agoHouston Astros third baseman J.D. Davis is off to a 2-for-18 start with no extra-base hits. The season is still in its infancy, but Davis has been unable to capitalize off his scorching spring training. Davis tore up preseason pitching, hitting .385 with three doubles, five home runs and 10 runs batted in. Those numbers earned Davis an opening day roster spot but his playing time is shrinking. He may get a little more time to work his way out of it or he could be destined for the minors to get everyday at-bats.
