J.D. Davis To Get MRI On Left Shoulder
5 years agoNew York Mets infielder/outfielder J.D. Davis (shoulder) will undergo an MRI exam on his left shoulder Wednesday, the result of a jammed left shoulder suffered in Tuesday's Grapefruit League game against the Tigers. Davis left the game in the fifth inning after diving to field a ground ball at third base. Davis was examined by the Tigers team doctor and was told there was no labrum or rotator cuff damage. The MRI results will confirm whether this is the case and how long, if at all, he will be sidelined. Davis, who has been getting repetitions at third base in an attempt to get his bat into the lineup regularly during the season, is a breakout candidate heading into 2020. The result of Wednesday's MRI will determine whether his rising fantasy outlook and season will be impacted.
