4 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder J.D. Martinez has not had a banner 2020 season. He owns a .205/.287/.373 slash line across 185 at-bats, which would all be the worst marks of his MLB career. On top of that, he only has six homers and 23 RBI, which is a shockingly low figure for one of baseball's top run producers. His exit velocity has fallen off drastically, as has his bat speed, which helps explain the significant downtick in his statistics. It remains to be seen whether or not Martinez will be able to recapture his former glory, but he will certainly go much lower in fantasy drafts in 2021.--Raymond Harrison - RotoBaller
