J.D. Martinez Keeps Red Sox From Being Shut Out

Martinez provided the only offense that Boston could manage in a 5-1 loss to the New York Yankees on Saturday night. Martinez was 2-for 24 prior to the ninth-inning solo blast, after slashing .396/.484/.792 with 11 home runs and 30 RBI in the month of August. Boston closes out the series against the Yankees on Sunday afternoon, with Martinez and the Red Sox set to face Masahiro Tanaka.
