3 years agoBoston Red Sox designated hitter J.D. Martinez delivered the biggest blow in Wednesday's 6-2 win over the Kansas City Royals, knocking a three-run home run off starter Mike Minor. It was his 16th homer of the year and his only hit of the contest, though he also walked and scored another run in four plate appearances. After a cold stretch, Martinez has been heating up of late, slashing .261/.400/.609 with two home runs in his last seven games.
