2 years agoBoston Red Sox outfielder/designated hitter J.D. Martinez was named to the American League All-Star team on Tuesday as a replacement for Houston Astros outfielder Yordan Alvarez. It will be Martinez's second straight All-Star selection and fifth overall. He will take the day off on Tuesday against the Tampa Bay Rays, but overall he's hitting a very strong .313/.380/.500 with an .880 OPS, nine home runs, a league-leading 29 doubles, 38 RBI and 50 runs scored in 337 plate appearances over 76 games in the first half of the 2022 season. Martinez remains a must-start in fantasy whenever he's in Boston's starting lineup.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
