3 years agoBoston Red Sox designated hitter J.D. Martinez hit a triple Wednesday, a rare feat for the slugger who is not generally regarded as being fleet of foot. It was his only hit in three at-bats, though he also walked and scored a run in a loss to the Los Angeles Angels. Martinez now has three triples for the year, which ties for his career-high. He also has 21 doubles and 17 home runs to go with his .913 OPS in 314 at-bats on the season.
