7 years agoAccording to Jason Mastrodonato of the Boston Herald, Boston Red Sox outfielder J.D. Martinez is acclimating quickly and is expected to debut next week. “His routine got messed up the last four or five days and it was the first day he hit in four or five days, so we want him to get back in the groove, move around, conditioning wise too and then we'll go from there,” manager Alex Cora said. “I think he and Eduardo Nunez will start DHing most likely after the off day (on Monday).” Martinez has already comfortably settled into the clubhouse and joined the team's ping pong matches. It will not be long before Martinez gets into his routine and becomes a mentor for younger players.--Ellis Canady - RotoBaller
