According to Red Sox manager Alex Cora, Martinez was scratched earlier with back tightness but will be ready for Wednesday's contest. The 35-year-old had been solid before the injury, slashing .262./.311/.429 with two home runs, five RBI, and five runs across 45 plate appearances in his last 10 games.
