J.D. McKissic, Curtis Samuel Ruled Out For Week 15
3 years agoWashington Football Team running back J.D. McKissic (neck) and wide receiver Curtis Samuel (hamstring) have been made unavailable for Tuesday's matchup against Philadelphia. McKissic's absence stands to continue funneling the vast majority of backfield duties toward Antonio Gibson, although Jaret Patterson and Jonathan Williams could see a handful of snaps as well. Samuel's absence continues an injury-plagued campaign, in which he has suited up for just five contests, unable to play in at least 40% of the team's offensive snaps even when healthy. DeAndre Carter and Adam Humphries stand to see a slight boost out wide without Samuel, but Terry McLaurin remains the jewel of the Washington passing game, even as uncertainty reigns under center. The next chance for McKissic and Samuel to play comes in Week 16 vs. the Cowboys, only five days later.
