J.D. McKissic Finds The End Zone On Thursday Night
3 years agoWashington Football Team running back J.D. McKissic had an impressive performance in Week 2, finishing with five receptions for 83 receiving yards and four carries for 10 rushing yards and a touchdown. From his Week 1 usage, it didn't seem like he would be as big of a factor as he was last year, but on Thursday night he showed he was still able to be a contributor in the Washington offense. Nonetheless, too much stock shouldn't be put into this performance because it was a short week for Washington and Antonio Gibson was nursing a shoulder injury leading up to game day. Going forward, McKissic is worth a bench spot because if anything happens to Gibson, he would step into a significant role. Even after an impressive performance, he shouldn't be inserted into starting lineups anytime soon.
