J.D. McKissic Wants Expanded Role
3 years agoDuring the 2020 season, Washington Football Team running back J.D. McKissic showed that he can be one of the best pass-catching backs in the NFL. Going into 2021, McKissic made it a priority to add weight so that he is able to be more effective running between the tackles. When asked about his expectation for next season, McKissic said, "Not to limit myself to just be a one-run type back. That means a lot to me to be able to get those types of runs in games." On 85 carries, McKissic rushed for 365 yards last season. Although McKissic has expressed his desire for an increased role carrying the football, Washington has Antonio Gibson ready to take a leap in his sophomore season. Unless something were to happen to Gibson, McKissic will likely once again see most of his work come in the passing game. He is worth a roster spot in PPR leagues and will have weekly flex appeal.
