J.D. McKissic Wants To Return
3 years agoWashington Football Team running back J.D. McKissic, who will be a free agent this offseason, said there's mutual interest in him returning for 2022. "They want me here and I want to be here. We just got to get something done," McKissic said. McKissic missed the last the last six games of the regular season due to a neck injury, and it remains to be seen if he'll return to D.C. next year with Jaret Patterson potentially taking on a bigger role behind lead-back Antonio Gibson. But McKissic was one of the team's most versatile playmakers in 2021 before his injury, carrying the ball 48 times for 212 yards and two touchdowns while adding 43 catches for 397 yards and two TDs through the air. In the last two years, McKissic has 123 receptions for 986 yards and four TDs as a pass-catcher.
