3 years agoNew England Patriots running back J.J. Taylor showed he was capable of being a dual-threat option during Thursday's preseason opener. He rushed two times for 10 yards and hauled in five receptions for 31 yards through the air. It was a nice outing for the second-year back, but he's remains buried on the depth chart. The fact Taylor was able to rush the ball and catch it effectively is a good sign. Despite that, it would take an injury to James White or another back for Taylor to even have a normal role in this offense.--Andy Webb - RotoBaller
