J.K. Dobbins Pleading His Case To Practice
2 years agoBaltimore Ravens running back J.K. Dobbins (knee) appeared on several occasions to be trying to convince team officials to green light him to return to practice at training camp on Wednesday. He was seen having animated conversations with general manager Eric DeCosta, team president Sashi Brown and outside linebacker Justin Houston. Head coach John Harbaugh said Dobbins has made it clear he thinks he's ready to practice, but "that's up to the doctors." The 23-year-old began camp on the Physically Unable to Perform list after missing all of last year. Although his knee injury was more serious than Gus Edwards', it looks like Dobbins is on track to return before his backfield mate. Both RBs are questionable for Week 1 at this point, but Dobbins is expected to be the primary back in Baltimore's run-first offense once he's healthy.
