3 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford currently has a 14.7% walk rate and a .471 on-base percentage through his first 68 plate appearances of the 2022 season. The veteran is also batting .352 with a pair of home runs and a stolen base. Perhaps most crucially, he's walked more than he's struck out, with 10 walks compared to four strikeouts so far. While he began the year hitting towards the bottom of the order, Crawford hit fifth in Seattle's game against the Chicago White Sox on April 14 and has batted fifth in all but one of his starts since.--Ben Rosener - RotoBaller
