J.P. Crawford Records Two Hits From The Leadoff Spot
4 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford continued his ascent in the lineup Sunday, batting leadoff after two games in the five hole. Crawford recorded two singles and scored a run. He now has six hits and nine total bases over his last three games. The move to the top of the lineup is likely temporary, with Ty France getting the day off, but Crawford has been the hottest bat in the lineup of late. He's now slashing .270/.333/.339 for the year, but he's been much better in May, slashing .333/.400/.481. He's an excellent short-term middle-infield fantasy pickup, especially if he sticks in the top of the lineup.
