J.P. Crawford Returns From Four-Game Suspension
2 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford is returning from his four-game suspension on Monday and will hit second against San Diego Padres left-hander Sean Manaea. Crawford was suspended four games by the league for his involvement in a benches-clearing brawl against the division-rival Los Angeles Angels on June 26, but fantasy managers will get him back this week. The 27-year-old really struggled in the month of June before serving his suspension, but overall he's been solid in 2022, hitting .261/.343/.381 with five home runs, 21 RBI, 32 runs scored and three stolen bases in 268 at-bats. His fantasy managers will be hoping he can get back on track in July. Dylan Moore started at the 6 while Crawford was suspended, but now he should see some extra playing time in left field with Jesse Winker beginning a six-game suspension on Monday.
