J.P. Crawford Returns Thursday
2 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford (illness) is back at shortstop and in the leadoff spot for the M's on Thursday against Los Angeles Angels right-hander Shohei Ohtani. Crawford missed the last two games due to flu-like symptoms, but he's feeling better on Thursday and should be returned to starting lineups in all single-year fantasy leagues. The 27-year-old hasn't racked up incredible counting stats -- 15 RBI, three stolen bases -- but he has an impressive .297 batting average and a .386 on-base percentage in 246 plate appearances and 58 games for Seattle. He's been really good in June, too, going 14-for-48 (.292) with a homer, three RBI and two steals in 12 games.
