J.P. Crawford Starting To Heat Up
4 years agoSeattle Mariners shortstop J.P. Crawford went 1-for-3 Sunday afternoon, extending his modest five-game hit streak. For the last seven days, Crawford is slashing .348/.400/.478, and he had put together back-to-back two-hit games entering Sunday. Crawford's line for the year isn't all too impressive, as he has no home runs, one steal, and carries a .649 OPS, but there have been stretches over the past several years that Crawford has been a very useful fantasy asset. It seems he might be in the middle of one of those stretches at the moment. Crawford should live on the waiver wire, but there are worse middle-infield options to turn to if fantasy managers need a fill-in who won't hurt you anywhere.
