J.T. Realmuto Homers Sunday
5 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto went 2-for-4 with a home run and two RBI in a win over the Nationals. Realmuto opened the scoring for the Phillies with an RBI single in the fourth inning then took starter Anibal Sanchez deep in the sixth for his 11th home run of the season. Realmuto has been a mild disappointment in fantasy given his sky-high preseason expectations, but he's still batting a respectable .275 with 44 RBI. Realmuto is making hard contact at a career-high 44.1 percent rate and is hitting 23.7 percent line drives so as long as he keeps those numbers up he could be in for a huge second half. If the Realmuto owner was expecting more, now could be a good time to make a trade offer for one of the few difference makers at the catcher position.
