3 years agoPhiladelphia Phillies catcher J.T. Realmuto isn't starting on Thursday. The Phillies will take on the Colorado Rockies and right-handed starter Antonio Senzatela but will do so with one of their best hitters on the bench. Realmuto is hitting .259 with a .344 on-base percentage, 14 home runs, and nine stolen bases in 456 plate appearances this season. Instead, it'll be Rafael Marchan starting behind the plate and hitting eighth on Thursday. The 22-year-old is hitting .250 with a .308 on-base percentage and a home run in 52 plate appearances.
