Jack Flaherty Dealing With Dead Arm?
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals skipper Oliver Marmol said that starting pitcher Jack Flaherty (shoulder) didn't have pain but tightness and more of a dead-arm sensation when he was removed from his start early on Sunday against the Chicago Cubs. The tightness isn't in the same area as Flaherty's previous shoulder injury, but the team is still evaluating him. The 26-year-old right-hander was making just his third start of the season after a right shoulder injury caused him to get a late start in 2022, so it's a bit concerning that he's already having more shoulder issues. He threw 49 pitches in two scoreless innings before departing, and it's unclear if he'll be able to make his next start. Fantasy managers shouldn't be surprised if Flaherty skips a start or even lands back on the injured list.
