Jack Flaherty Dominates on Friday But Doesn't Get a Win
7 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals rookie starting pitcher Jack Flaherty was absolutely dominant on Friday, allowing just one run on one hit in seven innings, walking two while striking out 13. Flaherty had a no-hitter going into the seventh inning, but the one hit he gave up ended not only the no-hitter but also the shutout, as Jesus Aguilar took him deep for a solo home run. Still, it was an outstanding outing by Flaherty, who lowered his ERA to 2.50. He's a must-own in all formats.
