Jack Flaherty Lasts Three Innings In First Start
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Jack Flaherty made his season debut against the Pittsburgh Pirates Wednesday, and he lasted three innings. It was expected to be an abbreviated start for the righty. Flaherty allowed four runs (two earned) on three hits and two walks with three strikeouts. While he was not as sharp as fantasy managers have come to expect, just to emerge from the outing without incident should be seen as a positive sign. Flaherty will look to improve on his results in his next outing, currently expected to come Tuesday against the Milwaukee Brewers.
