Jack Flaherty Leaves Early With Shoulder Stiffness
2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Jack Flaherty (shoulder) left his start early on Sunday against the Chicago Cubs with right shoulder stiffness. Flaherty departed after tossing two scoreless innings. Fantasy managers should be pretty concerned, as the 26-year-old right-hander missed the first two and a half months of the season with right shoulder inflammation. Flaherty had allowed five earned runs on seven hits while walking seven and striking out four in six innings over his first two starts, and fantasy managers will need to be prepared for a return to the injured list. The Cardinals will likely put Flaherty through some tests to determine whether he'll need another stay on the IL. It's extremely disappointing in just his third start of 2022.
