3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Jack Flaherty (shoulder) was placed on the 10-day injured list on Monday. As a result, Andre Pallante has made the Opening Day roster. Flaherty received a platelet-rich plasma injection in his right shoulder and is expected to begin a throwing program soon, but his absence is expected to extend into May. The 26-year-old basically missed all of spring training and will have to build himself back up for a debut at some point in May. It obviously lowers his fantasy value significantly after he posted a 3.22 ERA and 1.06 WHIP with a 26.4% strikeout rate and an 8.1% walk rate in 78 1/3 innings over 17 outings (15 starts) for the Cardinals in 2021.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
