2 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals manager Oliver Marmol said that starting pitcher Jack Flaherty (shoulder) will throw another bullpen session on Thursday, and the likely next step after that will be a minor league rehab assignment. "Jack felt good after his live BP yesterday. He woke up this morning and recovery has been really good so we'll take that next step," Marmol said. The 26-year-old right-hander threw between 40 and 50 pitches in a two-inning live batting practice on session and is nearing a return after suffering a shoulder injury in spring training. Flaherty is currently on the 60-day injured list, but barring any setbacks, it looks like he'll make his 2022 debut for the Cardinals early this month.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
