3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Jack Flaherty (oblique) returned from the injured list on Friday and pitched excellently against the Kansas City Royals. Flaherty tossed six scoreless innings, allowing just two hits while striking out five and not issuing a walk. Flaherty was fantastic throughout his outing, but was lifted after six innings and 81 pitches. Without the injury concerns, he would likely have had a chance at a complete game in this one, but the Cardinals are sure to be careful with him as he ramps back up after not pitching in a major league game since May 31.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
