Jack Flaherty To Face Hitters Thursday
3 years agoSt. Louis Cardinals starting pitcher Jack Flaherty (shoulder) will face live hitters on Thursday. Flaherty started throwing bullpen sessions early this month and is making nice progress after he was moved to the 60-day injured list last week. The 26-year-old right-hander won't be able to rejoin the team's starting rotation until early June, but he's getting closer to going on a minor league rehab assignment. Flaherty has yet to pitch in 2022, but he went 9-2 with a 3.22 ERA and 1.06 WHIP while walking 26 and striking out 85 in 78 1/3 innings over 17 games (15 starts) for the Cardinals last year. He should be stashed in the vast majority of fantasy leagues with his season debut coming soon, barring a setback.
