4 years agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Jackie Bradley Jr. (wrist) is scheduled to play in a spring training game Saturday, but general manager David Stearns said it's "still a little bit to be determined" whether the outfielder is ready for Opening Day, Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports. The 30-year-old signed with the Brewers in early March and appeared in six spring games before the wrist issue flared up, so he may not have enough at-bats to be ready for the start of the season. Stearns still expressed optimism Bradley would be ready in time, so a trip to the injured list may not be necessary, even if he's not quite game-ready in time for Opening Day. Having posted career-bests in batting average (.283) and on-base percentage (.364) in 2020, it still has not been enough for Bradley to crack into consistent draft position in the vast majority of season-long formats. Depending on where Milwaukee bats him this season, he could draw DFS appeal if he settles in at the top of the lineup, but that remains to be seen.--James Stokke
