3 years agoJacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence's progress during his second professional season is undoubtedly the team's quickest path to contention in 2022. Already equipped with new head coach Doug Peterson, Lawrence will have even more experienced voices overseeing his development: Press Taylor (offensive coordinator), Mike McCoy (quarterbacks coach), and Bob Cooter (passing game coordinator). "He's eager to learn," Pederson said of Lawrence, via Michael DiRocco of ESPN. "He wants to grow. I've got great teachers in the room that can help him and help him be successful." Lawrence started all 17 games during his rookie year, but he finished tied for the league lead with 17 interceptions. His 602 pass attempts were seventh most, even though he completed those throws at just a 59.6% clip. He is likely solely a two-QB season-long league option at this stage, although Jacksonville's ability to surround him with playmakers could change that dynamic.--Jesse Borek
