Jacksonville Names Mike Glennon Starting QB For Week 16
4 years agoJacksonville Jaguars quarterback Mike Glennon is returning to the starting gig for Week 16 against Chicago, taking over for Gardner Minshew II. Glennon re-enters the starting lineup in a difficult fantasy spot, one that is likely more fantasy relevant for fantasy managers with eyes on the Bears Defense. While Glennon looked solid in his first start of the year against a talented Cleveland group, his production fell off the table by Week 14 versus the Titans, where he compiled just 85 passing yards with no touchdowns and one interception. Additionally seeing a dip in stock is Jacksonville's wide receiver group -- D.J. Chark Jr., Laviska Shenault Jr., Keelan Cole Sr. -- all of whom had higher upside with Minshew under center. With a top-two pick in the 2021 NFL Draft looming, the Jaguars are most likely going to roll with a rookie starting QB next season, leaving the intrigue of Glennon, Minshew, and the like to be faint.
