6 years agoThe Milwaukee Brewers have sent right-handed pitcher Jacob Barnes down to Triple-A Colorado Springs. Barnes has struggled mightily in the month of May as he has given up four earned runs and 12 hits in a total of three innings pitched. He had been a dominant set up man in 2017, and was speculated to take over the closing role in Milwaukee after Corey Knebel's injury. However, he failed to do so, and now finds himself in the minor leagues. Barnes should get called back up in the near future, as this demotion is likely just the organization giving him time to gain his confidence back.--Kev Mahserejian - RotoBaller
