4 years agoNew York Mets right-handed pitcher Jacob deGrom will have very little restrictions for Wednesday’s start against the Boston Red Sox, as manager Luis Rojas said before the game that he would turn loose his ace for between 80-100 pitches. deGrom worked five scoreless innings in last week’s season opener, yielding just one hit and one walk while striking out eight across 72 pitches against Atlanta. Last season, New York’s workhorse exceeded the 100-pitch mark in 23 of his 32 starts and he’s one of the most expensive DFS options on the board Wednesday even as he faces a Red Sox lineup that boasts multiple former All-Stars.--Jesse Borek
