4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (lat) could be ready to make his next start on Sunday, according to MLB.com's Anthony DiComo. deGrom was scratched from his start on Tuesday due to inflammation in his right lat, but it sounds like he could begin playing catch by Thursday if he is cleared by doctors. He has been dominating opposing batters this season, posting a 0.51 ERA, 0.571 WHIP and a 48 percent strikeout rate in 35 innings of work.
