4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom threw two scoreless innings in his 2021 Grapefruit League debut Saturday against the Astros. deGrom allowed only one hit, struck out three, and was consistently hitting 99mph and 100mph on his fastball. deGrom is coming off the shortened 2020 season in which he posted a 2.38 ERA, a 0.956 WHIP, and a 104:18 K:BB in 68 innings pitched. deGrom, who already looks to be in mid-season form, remains a fantasy ace who will be a safe bet for elite strikeout totals, league-leading ratios, and wins with a bolstered lineup behind him.
