Jacob deGrom Expected To Make His Next Start
4 years agoNew York Mets ace Jacob deGrom (hand) played catch on Sunday and is on track to make his next start Wednesday against the Cubs. He was removed after 80 pitches on Friday due to right flexor tendinitis. The Mets ace underwent an MRI on Saturday which revealed no structural damage. deGrom will throw a bullpen session on Monday and barring any setbacks should be all systems go for Wednesday. The 32-year-old has been outstanding in 2021, owning a 0.56 ERA, 0.53 WHIP, and a 103:8 K: BB across 64 innings. Fantasy managers in weekly league formats can safely insert deGrom into their starting lineups for now.
