Jacob deGrom Getting MRI Exam On Friday
3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (shoulder) has officially been scratched from his Grapefruit League start on Friday and will undergo an MRI exam. deGrom is dealing with right shoulder tightness after playing catch on Thursday, and his availability for the start of the regular season is now very much in question. The 33-year-old fantasy ace dealt with elbow issues last season and made only 15 starts as a result, so more arm issues right before Opening Day isn't a good sign. We should know more on deGrom's status shortly, so fantasy managers will want to check back soon. If he's unable to go on Opening Day, Max Scherzer will likely get the nod to kick off the 2022 campaign.
