4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (lat) has been diagnosed with inflammation in his right lat, according to Joel Sherman of the New York Post. deGrom was scratched from his start Tuesday night with soreness in his side, and he underwent an MRI to receive the diagnosis. For now, there is no word of the possibility of a stint on the injured list, but he will refrain from throwing for the next few days. Managers should monitor updates on deGrom closely, but for now it appears this may not be a lengthy absence for him.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
