Jacob deGrom Heads To Injured List
3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (forearm) was placed on the 10-day injured list retroactive to July 15, according to The Athletic. That means he's out until at least next Sunday. DeGrom is getting treatment for forearm tightness and has been shut down from throwing, according to manager Luis Rojas. Though an MRI exam showed no structural damage, it's unknown how long the best pitcher in the game will be out. Fantasy managers will have to ride out the IL stint. The 33-year-old right-hander is a must-start each and every time he takes the mound, even with all the injury issues he's had in 2021. DeGrom has a league-leading 1.08 ERA, 0.55 WHIP, 1.1 BB/9, 14.3 K/9 and 146 strikeouts in 92 innings over his 15 starts this year.
