Jacob deGrom Leaves With Back Tightness
4 years agoFollowing up on an earlier report, New York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom left a Mets' intrasquad game after just one inning on Tuesday. The Mets have since reported that his early departure was due to back tightness. At this point, it is too early to determine if this will impact deGrom's availability for the start of the season in ten days. If healthy, deGrom is an SP1 in all formats. He is coming off a 2019 season in which he posted an 11-8 record, 2.43 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, with 255 strikeouts in 204 innings pitched.
