Jacob deGrom Likely Won't Be Back This Season
3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (elbow) is expected to miss the rest of the season, according to Pat Ragazzo of Sports Illustrated. deGrom has been out since his last start on July 7 after experiencing right forearm tightness. This is a huge blow to fantasy managers, as deGrom was running away with the NL-Cy Young Award. He was having one of the best pitching seasons in MLB history, posting a 1.08 ERA, 45.1 K%, and 3.4 BB% across 15 starts and 92 innings. He should be kept in dynasty leagues, as he should be back next season. However, he can be dropped in redraft leagues if there's no room to stash him.
