Jacob deGrom Reportedly Improving
3 years agoAccording to New York Mets manager Luis Rojas, starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (elbow) is improving and there is optimism that his stint on the injured list will not be prolonged. Rojas' statement comes after it was revealed earlier on Tuesday that deGrom has returned to New York for further evaluation on his right forearm. An MRI exam performed over the weekend showed no structural damage, though it remains unknown how long he will be sidelined. In 2021, deGrom owns a league-leading 1.08 ERA, a 0.55 WHIP, 1.1 BB/9, 14.3 K/9, and 146 strikeouts in 92 innings over 15 starts. Mets fans and fantasy managers alike will hope for a quick return to the team for deGrom.
