Jacob deGrom Slated To Return To Mound Wednesday
4 years agoNew York Mets right-handed pitcher Jacob deGrom (neck) is on track to make his return to the hill Wednesday against the Marlins. deGrom had been scratched from his previous start due to neck tightness, while also having to deal with a blister on his pitching hand. New York had held out hope that he would be able to return to the rotation after being skipped just once, and that appears to be the case. His return comes in time for a fortuitous matchup, as deGrom has amassed 10.9 K/9 in his career against Miami. deGrom sounds as if he will not have a pitch limit, and while he is sure to be one of the high-priced pitchers on the DFS slate, he is an obvious must-start in all season-long formats.
