4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom continued his dominance by going six innings, allowing just one earned run and striking out nine in the Mets' 1-0 loss to Boston on Wednesday. Unfortunately, as has been the case all too frequently, deGrom had nothing to show for it in the win column and took the loss, as the Mets' offense continued to struggle. Almost implausibly, deGrom's record fell to 2-2 on the season, despite an ERA of 0.51, a WHIP of 0.57, and a K:BB of 59:4 in 35 innings pitched. deGrom has now allowed just two earned runs so far in 2021, and the Mets have lost both games. Despite the putrid Mets' offense, deGrom remains a must-start in all fantasy formats. He is scheduled to next face the Cardinals on the road on Tuesday when, hopefully, the Mets can muster up more than two hits to support the best pitcher in baseball.--Nick Ritrivi - RotoBaller
