4 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (neck) played catch from 90 feet on Saturday after getting scratched from his start on Friday with neck soreness. The next step for the right-hander is throwing a bullpen session on Sunday with the hope he can slide back into the rotation next week. DeGrom is 2-0 on the year with a 2.45 ERA, and 28 strikeouts through 22 innings pitched, and the Mets will be sure to proceed with caution with their ace. It's a situation to monitor, but barring any setbacks, he should be good to go for his next start.--Riley Mrack - RotoBaller
