3 years agoNew York Mets starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (forearm) had a check-up on Monday, and the results out of that appointment did not change his current two-week shutdown from throwing, according to Tim Britton of The Athletic. There were reports earlier on Monday that he would be getting examined again, but it appears there were no significant changes to his condition. deGrom has been sidelined since the beginning of July with forearm tightness, and at this point it's looking like we won't see him return to action until mid-September at the earliest. Managers should hang onto him in case he returns this season, as he can help down the stretch in the fantasy playoffs. However, managers should not rely too heavily on his return.--Michael Grennell - RotoBaller
