7 years agoUpdating a previous report, some New York Mets sources have been reporting that starting pitcher Jacob deGrom (elbow) is set to miss at least four starts after an MRI thankfully did not reveal any ligament damage in his hyperextended right elbow. However, other reports are coming in saying deGrom will play catch on Friday and will try to start on Monday. We’re not sure which way this is going to land, which isn't surprising whenever it comes to the New York Mets and injuries. For now, it’s probably best to err on the side of caution and expect deGrom to miss some time, but perhaps it won’t be as long as originally reported.--John Smith
