Jacob Eason Plays Well In Win On Sunday
3 years agoIndianapolis Colts quarterback Jacob Eason completed 15 of his 21 passing attempts for 183 yards during Sunday's preseason win over the Carolina Panthers. With quarterback Carson Wentz's (foot) Week 1 availability in question due to surgery, the sophomore has found himself in a position to potentially take over the starting role while the former Eagle is out. Eason possesses a powerful arm but was somewhat reckless with the ball in college. While it's only a small step, taking sacks instead of throwing questionable passes is a step in the right direction for the 23-year-old. Nonetheless, if Wentz does miss time in the regular season, Eason should be rostered in deep dynasty and Superflex leagues in case his raw talent reveals itself. However, he shouldn't be considered an option in standard formats, although his potential warrants keeping him on the watchlist.
